With almost thirty years of expertise in guiding technology and telecom enterprises towards success, Scott Sampson is a highly respected visionary within the industry. As the CEO of Fiber Fast Homes, a prominent fiber to the home Internet service provider, specializing in new home and build-to-rent communities, Scott has consistently demonstrated his exceptional leadership skills. He has also leveraged his extensive understanding of ISP operations and strategic insight to spearhead the expansion of Fiber Fast Homes’ service area and cultivate valuable partnerships. Scott’s unwavering commitment to excellence has propelled the company from a modest presence in Jacksonville, Florida to providing high-speed Internet to communities nationwide. Scott’s previous experience designing and implementing networks globally has helped numerous ISPs reach their goals and Fiber Fast Homes is no different.
John Nangle, Vice President of Operations
Before being named Vice President of Operations, John Nangle was responsible for Fiber Fast Homes’ business development on the West Coast. Quickly, John showed his extensive knowledge of organizational development and management. As Vice President of Operations he oversees all of Fiber Fast Homes’ construction efforts nationwide. John received his Business Degree from Southern Oregon University. He lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys venturing to new breweries.
Hedge Burt, Vice President of Sales
Hedge Burt is a seasoned sales executive with more than 25 years in the information technology and telecommunications industries. Before joining Fiber Fast Homes, Hedge previously led the strategic sales effort in the Southeast for ATT Consulting and Lumen Technologies (CenturyLink). Hedge and his family recently moved to Mississippi but he is still a diehard University of Tennessee fan.
Sarah Cortes, Business Development Specialist, Texas
Sarah Cortes joins Fiber Fast Homes as Business Development Specialist with over 12 years of account management, training, and sales experience in the telecommunications industry. Before joining Fiber Fast Homes, she was an Enterprise Fiber Account Executive for AT&T and worked as a Senior Business Account Executive at Comcast Business and as a Regional Training Manager at T-Mobile. Originally from Rome, GA, she has moved throughout the United States while supporting her spouse in the U.S. Marine Corps. Sarah now considers Texas her forever home and plans to raise her young family in the Lone Star State.
Ranell Langley, Business Development Specialist, Nevada
Ranell Langley joins Fiber Fast Homes as Business Development Specialist with over 22 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Ranell has extensive industry knowledge in engineering, construction, project management and sales. Previously, she was a Sales Manager for Hexatronic who specialize in air blown fiber systems. One of Ranell’s many strengths is her ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with her team and clients. Originally from Rapid City, South Dakota, Ranell married her high school sweetheart and moved to Las Vegas 25 years ago.
Julia Burton, Controller
Julia Burton is a seasoned business finance specialist, with a focus in developing accounting systems and strategies for continuous growth. Before joining Fiber Fast Homes, Julia was a finance team leader for various companies in a wide array of industries. During her extensive career, Julia also owned and operated a business and accounting service firm for over 15 years. She enjoys spending time with her children and pets, walking, reading, dining, and visiting the mountains and national parks of Colorado.
Kate Moore, Senior Director of Engagement Success
Kate Moore has over 13 years’ experience in the marketing industry, she specializes in digital marketing and event coordination. Before joining Fiber Fast Homes, Kate provided marketing support to Vaco, a worldwide staffing agency and most recently a home services provider in the Denver, Colorado metro area. Kate is originally from Richmond, Virginia but relocated to Denver, Colorado to explore all the mountains have to offer.
Jeffrey Highlen, Director of Network Operations
Jeffrey Highlen has 20+ years’ experience in the information technology industry and specializes in enterprise level network design, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Jeffrey’s extensive IT knowledge allows him to successfully lead Fiber Fast Homes’ Network Operations team. He has a knack for developing standards, policies, and procedures. With more than a decade of proven success in leadership and project management, Jeffrey is passionate about building dependable, high-quality networks and establishing positive team dynamics to drive company success. Jeffrey is a Colorado resident and avid snowboarder.
Shawn Dillow, Director of Northern Construction
Shawn Dillow has been in the telecommunications industry for over 18 years. Prior to joining FFH, Shawn worked at Comcast, where he specialized in commercial project management and gained extensive experience in construction, design, engineering, and leadership. Shawn is building a team with some of the best minds in the industry and stays focused on providing a superior product from construction to customer service. He has been instrumental in the establishment of our safety committee and fiber infrastructure standards. Shawn calls the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia home and enjoys spending time with his wife of 13 years and their 3 children.
Brian Porterfield, Director of Southern Construction
Brian Porterfield brings over 20 years of experience working within the construction and telecom industry. He has owned and operated a reputable construction company specializing in wireless telecom builds. As a result of his background and experience, Brian has acquired a strong understanding of the construction, wireless and telecom industry. Brian earned his Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and currently resides in North Florida. He is an avid Clemson Football fan and staunch supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
